The Key To Jack & Roscoe’s Reacher Chemistry, According To Willa Fitzgerald
By VALERIE ETTENHOFER
Although the release date for “Reacher” Season 2 has yet to be announced, the cast and crew have been sharing what made the show successful, including Jack and Roscoe’s chemistry.
Willa Fitzgerald explained her and Alan Ritchson's immediate connection, saying, “I think that even from our chemistry test, [...] we kind of managed to find chemistry there.”
While the test was held over Zoom, she added, “I think it was a really good sign that we weren't gonna have a hard time.” The duo apparently continued to work well together on set.
The actress shared the two “really enjoyed shooting the s**t and having fun together,” which “translated really beautifully into our on-screen chemistry as Roscoe and Reacher.”
She praised the script, saying, “The characters of Roscoe and Reacher are written really well as these almost kind of foils who are both kind of hard-headed in the same way.”
Fitzgerald described her character as a “spitfire” and Reacher as a “brick wall,” but added, “When you're throwing a ball against a brick wall, it still comes back.”
