Gosling plays a stuntman facing the challenges of aging in a film directed by his ex-girlfriend (Blunt). On set, he becomes stuck in an unfolding mystery.
The movie honors the greatest stunt performers, such as the film's director David Leitch, who have made substantial contributions to television and film but are often unrecognized.
Little did Leitch, a stunt-performer turned filmmaker, know that his and his crew's stunt coordination while directing the film would break a historic Hollywood stunt record.
Stunt driver Logan Holladay pulled off an amazing cannon roll stunt, flipping the car an incredible 8.5 times without CGI assistance, surpassing the record set 18 years ago.
At the SXSW panel for “The Fall Guy,” Gosling humorously admitted, “Anytime [my character] got hit by a car, set on fire, did anything cool or parkour-y, that was [Holladay].”
/Film questioned Holladay on the stunt: “[...] it felt like the spinning was never going to stop. It was a surreal moment and I'm incredibly proud of what the team achieved.”
