The Boys Actor Antony Starr Played A Killer Before Suiting Up A Homelander
By DANIELLE RYAN
Antony Starr is incredible as Homelander in the hit Prime Video series "The Boys," but while the character is a pure villain, Starr once played a more complicated kind of killer.
Before portraying Homelander, Antony Starr played the morally ambiguous but unspeakably charming Lucas Hood on the Cinemax series, "Banshee."
It's a blast watching Starr play a thief who's pretending to be a lawman, and it's an even better display of his talents than we get to see in "The Boys."
Starr’s “Banshee” character may not have Homelander's superpowers, but that doesn't stop him from taking out the baddies like he's the antihero American answer to James Bond.
It's compelling stuff to watch Starr play a thief who's pretending to be a lawman, sandwiched between lots of sweaty nudity and wild action sequences.
