Live-Action Batman Movie According to 31% of Fans We Polled
By RYAN SCOTT
In a /Film official survey we asked 579 film fans which live-action Batman film was the best, and the winner with 31% of the votes was “The Dark Knight.” Next in order were “Batman” (17%), “Batman Forever,” “Batman & Robin” (12%), “The Dark Knight Rises” (11%), “Batman Begins” (7%), and tied for last at 4% each was “Batman Returns” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
The survey result is not a surprise as Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” gave the audiences a Gotham City that felt like a real city as well as a phenomenal performance from the late Heath Ledger as The Joker. It was both a critical and commercial success raking in more than one billion dollars at the box office.
If we get caught up in semantics, it could be argued that "The Dark Knight" is hardly a "Batman" movie at all when compared to Burton's '89 film, for example. Regardless, at the end of the day, it is tough to argue against the notion that "The Dark Knight" is almost certainly the best movie ever made that features Batman in it.
