The Actor Behind One Of The Seven Will Play A 'Whole New Character' In The Boys Season 4

Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for the Season 3 finale of "The Boys."
Superhero comics have a tradition where characters take on the role of a previous hero or villain and even continue using their name, with a Roman numeral indicating which version they are. With the death of Black Noir in the Season 3 finale of “The Boys,” the actor behind the character’s mask, Nathan Mitchell, will actually wear the suit again as Black Noir II in Season 4.
In “The Boys,” Mitchell actually never showed his face, which was why showrunner Eric Kripke is able to bring him back for the next season. When flashbacks of an unmasked and talking Black Noir were shown during Season 3, it was Fritzy-Klevans Destine who played him instead.
Kripke told Entertainment Weekly that while Mitchell will wear the Black Noir suit again, it will be a completely different character. He revealed, "It's definitely not the last we've seen of Black Noir as a hero. It's just that the guy who was inside [the Noir suit] in season 3, he's gone. But we have Nathan playing a really interesting and hilarious character who wears the suit next season."
