The 12 Best Jedi In The Star Wars Universe, Ranked
By BEN BEGLEY
12. Ezra Bridger
Introduced in “Star Wars: Rebels,” Ezra Bridger became the student of Kanan Jarrus and exhibited strong connections to the Force before his training. Though far from perfect and facing temptations of the dark side, Ezra remained on the light side and delivered a powerful message during a hopeless battle that inspired the Rebellion to keep fighting.
11. Kanan Jarrus
Formerly known as Caleb Dume, Kanan Jarrus survived the massacre of Order 66 and turned away from his Jedi upbringing. Despite everything Kanan witnessed, he returned to the Jedi’s path and used his power to save his family by blocking an explosion while pushing their ship out of harm’s way — his sacrifice is one of the franchise’s most tragic moments.
10. Count Dooku
Before succumbing to the dark side, Count Dooku was a promising Jedi Knight and the Qui-Gon’s master whose skills were only rivaled by Yoda and Mace Windu. After Darth Sidious turned him, Darth Tyranus’ power grew, and the Sith was able to swiftly defeat Obi-Wan and Anakin and hold his own in a duel against Yoda.
9. Ben Solo
Thanks to his Skywalker blood, Ben's natural abilities exceeded those of most other Padawans, and his powers only grew once he became Kylo Ren. Not only was he a fearsome, if undisciplined, fighter, but Kylo's use of telepathy to interrogate and mentally torture his victims was almost unmatched.
8. Qui-Gon Jinn
Qui-Gon was just as skilled as any Jedi with a lightsaber and he was the first to become "one with the Force," allowing his consciousness to live on after his physical death; a skill his spirit passed on to both Yoda and Obi-Wan. If Qui-Gon's unwavering belief in Anakin hadn't resulted in the rise of Darth Vader, he'd be higher up on the list.
