The 10 Most Underrated Episodes Of Lost

Season 1, Episode 12
“Lost” analyzes each of the protagonists by revealing critical moments from their pasts, and the episode "Whatever The Case May Be" does a great job of exploring Kate Austen's guilt and inventiveness. Director Jack Bender delivers an imaginative opening sequence that has all the cinematic energy and excitement of a Michael Mann film.
Season 1, Episode 22
After bombarding fans with a never-ending series of questions throughout the season, the episode "Born to Run" satisfies the viewers with some important revelations without seeming like an expositional dump. The episode also effectively sets up some characters for an emotionally-charged Season 2.
Season 2, Episode 12
While "Fire + Water" is better known for the moment when Driveshaft performs "You All Everybody" in a commercial, it also does a good job of fleshing out Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan). In the episode, Monaghan, who’s inherently a funny actor, goes to dramatic lengths to show Charlie's familial struggles and trauma.
Season 2, Episode 19
Episode "S.O.S." features one of the sweetest love stories in "Lost" and effectively shows Rose Henderson and Bernard Nadler’s devotion toward each other as a couple. Additionally, Michael Emerson puts up a delightfully elusive performance as Henry Gale, which only perpetuates the season's mystery.
Season 3, Episode 2
The episode "The Glass Ballerina" focuses on the complex romance — and one of the more interesting marriages — between Sun-Hwa Kwon and Jin, who are trapped in traditional South Korean gender roles. They are one of the rare screen couples who come into conflict, which helps viewers empathize with both characters.
