Stephen King Thinks This Horror Movie Is Too Scary To Watch Alone

A few years back, Stephen King took to Twitter to praise a 2016 film, saying, "THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE: Visceral horror to rival ALIEN and early Cronenberg. Watch it, but not alone."
The film’s horror lies in its simple premise. After Jane Doe is found dead, coroners peel back the layers of a horrific crime as the corpse begins to display signs of life.
"The Autopsy of Jane Doe" was director André Øvredal's first English-language film. Its most jarring aspect is not the jump scares or gore, but the unstoppable cycle of trauma.
The disenfranchisement that comes with death is an extension of Jane Doe's unfortunate life: Even now, her trauma is being poked and prodded by men who solely view her as evidence.
The climax is pure action as it becomes clear that no one can stand between Jane Doe and her wrath, even if they have good intent. In the end, only revenge and tragedy prevail.
