Stephen King Never Expected This Book To Become A Movie
By DEBOPRIYAA DUTTA
Stephen King's novella "1922," was originally published as a part of his collection "Full Dark, No Stars" before getting a stand-alone release in 2017.
Zak Hilditch's adaptation on Netflix captures the feel of the novella, with the film's solid, grounded performances and an escalating slow-burn that keeps us on edge.
King said in an interview with Vulture that he is always supportive of anyone who wants to adapt his work and that he was surprised by the pitch for “1922.”
"With '1922', was I a little surprised that somebody wanted to make it? I was, and I was also pleased by the challenge of it and anxious to see what would come out,” King said.
