Star Wars: The Force Awakens Gave Carrie Fisher The Worst Day Of Her Career
By JENNA BUSCH
Fans were ecstatic to find out Carrie Fisher was reprising her role as Princess Leia in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." However, it began with a challenging first day on set.
According to the documentary "The Secrets of the Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey," Fisher stated, "It was basically the worst day I've ever had on a film set in my life."
Writer and director J.J. Abrams mentioned that Fisher hadn't acted in a while and said he thought "she was nervous going into this."
Fisher explained what reprising that role meant after these years: "The first day I had was this massive scene. I was scared that I would make mistakes, and I made mistakes."
After diving into a bumpy first day on set, Abrams added, "Once we started to do it, she seemed to fall into it very easily."
