Star Wars Maestro Dave Filoni Dropped A Big Hint About Thrawn’s Future
By RYAN SCOTT
The future of Grand Admiral Thrawn in the "Star Wars" universe is beginning to unfold, with hints dropped by Dave Filoni, the mastermind behind “Star Wars Rebels,” and more.
Filoni, known for his secrecy, hinted at Thrawn's future in an Empire interview, suggesting possible interactions with two other characters linked to the blue-skinned tactician.
One character Filoni wanted alongside the Grand Admiral is Captain Pellaeon, introduced in "The Mandalorian" and closely associated with Thrawn.
Filoni said, “His foil throughout 'Rebels' was Hera. Pitting the two generals against one another is something that I find interesting.”
Thrawn's next appearance is unclear, but fans can anticipate him in either Jon Favreau's "Mandalorian and Grogu" film or one of Filoni's live-action “Star Wars” projects.
Lars Mikkelsen, playing Thrawn in “Ahsoka,” shared insights into the character's future, assuring fans that Thrawn will take steps to "tidy up the shop" within the Empire.
