Star Wars Cast Boba Fett's Original Actor For A Hilariously Simple Reason

Boba Fett's appearance in "The Empire Strikes Back" happened due to a simple and funny casting requirement, according to a 2000 issue of Star Wars Insider.
Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba onscreen in "The Empire Strikes Back," told Star Wars Insider, "I think the secret to playing Boba Fett [...] is the less you do, the better."
He continued, "He was very cool, and he didn't move much. I thought of Boba Fett as Clint Eastwood in a suit of armor."
Bulloch's casting didn't actually involve much acting on his part and said it was the suit that did the heavy lifting. That was, in fact, how he got cast — he fit the suit.
