The final season of "Star Trek: Discovery" has started to feel a little monotonous to some viewers, mainly because almost every episode has followed a similar structure.
The episodes have seen the crew outrun Moll and her lover L'ak to find Progenitors technology clues, pass tests to prove themselves worthy, and end on mini cliffhangers.
However, episode 8, titled "Labyrinths," revealed a certain method behind that madness. As Captain Burnham follows the latest lead, she is quickly plunged into a mental maze.
“Discovery” basically incorporates the essence of monotony directly into its plot — and it casually drops an Easter egg to another “Trek” series all about being lost in space.
You see, The Eternal Gallery and Archive are presently located in a region of space known as the Badlands, the same place featured in the series premiere of "Star Trek: Voyager."
