Star Trek Actually Made LeVar Burton Glow For Its Identity Crisis Episode

In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Identity Crisis," Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) mutates into a creature only visible under a special light.
To play the invisible alien, Burton had to undergo a full-body makeup process, including a facial prosthetic, contact lenses, many painted-on veins, alien gloves, and alien feet.
Burton’s makeup took four makeup artists and six full hours to apply. For his costume, he wore a suit painted with U/V that glowed under an ultraviolet light.
A special blue lamp bathed everything in low, even color while white lights illuminated the actors, creating a unique, ghostly vibe that wasn't used elsewhere in the series.
