Spencer Grammer Refused To Quit Rick And Morty For Another Series
By RYAN SCOTT
Spencer Grammer, the voice behind Summer, plays a large part in cementing the legacy of "Rick and Morty" as one of this generation's most beloved animated shows. While her character’s name may not be in the show’s title, Grammer deserves some credit for sticking with the series, as she was pressured to leave the show at one point.
"I had been in a situation where I had done another show and they were like, 'Sorry, you're gonna have to leave this,' and I was like, go f*** yourselves, this is the only thing I like.' I don't care if I don't make any money on this show. This show brings me joy every time I read a script, I'm proud of the work," Grammer confirmed.
Lucky for Grammer, she is in absolutely no danger of losing this job any time soon. Series co-creator Justin Roiland, who has no desire to end the series, still has several seasons left on his current contract, and Adult Swim recently handed out a massive 70-episode renewal to the series.
