Shawn Levy Could Direct a Star Wars Movie After Finishing Deadpool 3
By RYAN SCOTT
In addition to directing hits like “The Adam Project” and “Free Guy,” Shawn Levy is set to helm “Deadpool 3” for Disney and Marvel Studios in the near future. Levy has become one of the most in-demand directors in the industry, and it appears that Disney wants to stay in business with him as he may direct a new “Star Wars” movie.
According to Deadline, Levy is currently in talks for a mystery movie set in the “Star Wars” universe, although there are few details on the project. After focusing on streaming shows following the success of “The Mandalorian,” Lucasfilm is seemingly concentrating on movies once again since the release of the financially successful yet divisive “The Rise of Skywalker.”
Several films have entered into development, such as Kevin Feige’s mystery “Star Wars” film written by Michael Waldron, but there’s no confirmation of whether Levy will direct any of these projects or something else entirely. A new movie in the franchise may not be too far away as Disney currently has an untitled “Star Wars” movie slated for December 19, 2025.
