Salma Hayek Almost Died By Lapdance Filming Magic Mike's Last Dance
By MIYAKO PLEINES
Selma Hayek Pinault will be in the final installment of the “Magic Mike” franchise, “Magic Mike's Last Dance,” and although the film isn’t a tense thriller, that doesn't mean it isn’t any less dangerous than the suspenseful films Hayek Pinault typically stars in. While filming one of this sequel's spicier scenes, Channing Tatum's lap dance for Hayek Pinault nearly turned disastrous.
On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Hayek Pinault shared a scary rehearsal scene where she was meant to be flipped upside down. She said, “My legs had to be somewhere, but upside down, one loses sense of direction. I didn't do what I was supposed to do, so in the rehearsal, I went head-down [and] almost hit my head.” Thankfully, Tatum held onto her before she hit the floor.
She could have braced herself with her arms, but Hayek Pinault realized, “I couldn't remember if I had underwear [on] or not.” As her pants began to slip, she wanted to avoid an awkward moment and “instead of putting my hands [down] to protect my head, I just held on to the pants,” she laughed. This was one lap dance where someone actually wanted their pants to stay on.
