Ryan Gosling Playing Ken Confused The Heck Out Of His Daughters

Ryan Gosling is the father of two children who are at the prime age for Barbie dolls. After finding a discarded Ken in his garden, the actor agreed to join the cast of “Barbie.”
During a pre-strikes interview with the New York Times, Gosling shared a few details of his daughters' play life and how they didn't really care that he was playing Ken.
His daughters confirmed that Ken was an unimportant character, and they were baffled after hearing their father would be playing a role like that.
The actor shared, “They were confused. Why Ken? They don’t even call him Ken. One of them is named Darrell. And Darrell works at a grocery store.”
Gosling noted that Darrell/Ken is “such a nonpresence in their world. They were like ‘What is there to play? Is there meat on that bone?’”
