Ranking Every Movie In The Mad Max Saga

5. Thunderdome
"Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" isn't a bad movie by any means, but something has to be last. It's also the least focused with bizarre action set pieces.
Max is thrust into a gladiatorial battle against Blaster (Paul Larsson), the representative for Auntie Entity's (the incomparable Tina Turner) rival, Master (Angelo Rossitto).
4. Mad Max
When released, it set the Guinness World Record for the most profitable film in history, and the low-budget charm only emphasized Miller's expert eye for camera work.
With dystopian Australia, machine foraging, motorcycle gangs, revenge plots, and a barren wasteland, “Mad Max” is the fertile soil from which later installments would flower.
3. Fury Road
The six-time Oscar-winning installment of the saga ushered in an entirely new era for George Miller, with breathtaking visuals, and balls-to-the-wall action set pieces.
Essentially two eruptive chase scenes sewn together by sensational stunt performances and the introduction of the franchise's best character, Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron).
