Quentin Tarantino is Making an Eight-Episode TV Series
By CHRIS EVANGELISTA
Quentin Tarantino has directed episodic TV, including episodes of "ER" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." While promoting his new book "Cinema Speculation," Tarantino announced that he plans to shoot an eight-episode TV series in 2023, but fans should be cautiously optimistic given his history of buzzy projects that never materialized.
In 2017, Deadline reported that Tarantino was attached to direct a new “Star Trek'' film that was being dubbed "'Pulp Fiction' ... in space!," but the film never came to fruition. In 2022, there was a rumor floating around that Tarantino would helm episodes of a new "Justified" spin-off, but it’s been confirmed that he is not involved.
Details of the eight-part TV series are unknown and Tarantino has not shared anything more than plans of shooting in 2023. While the project itself remains shrouded in mystery, it will be interesting to see how Tarantino’s style will translate to the TV medium.
