Pirates Of The Caribbean 6 Is Bringing Back Some Familiar Behind-The-Scenes Talent
By RYAN SCOTT
There hasn’t been a "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie on screen since 2017, but Disney has every intention of amending that in the not-too-distant future. While a release date has not been set, it seems Margot Robbie is being eyed to star in the lead role and some former behind-the-scenes artists will be returning.
Mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer is very excited to return for the currently unnamed sixth installment of the “Pirates” franchise. Along with Bruckheimer, Ted Elliot will be returning to write the script for the new movie. Elliott was credited with cooking up the story for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," the 2003 film that started it all.
While the later sequels did bigger business at the box office, none of the sequels ever managed to quite recapture the magic of that original film. Perhaps letting Elliott take the wheel could help give the franchise new life and expose the world to new and exciting characters.
