One Of Bones’ Worst Kills Was Originally Even More Sickening

The Fox procedural series “Bones,” was gross by design, full of decaying skeletons and unidentifiable remains, so it was not scheduled around kid-friendly shows.
In 2011, however, the show followed “American Idol” for the first time and unfortunately, a few million kids might have seen a character's head blown off.
In the episode, a serial killer (Deirdre Lovejoy) who had been terrorizing characters for several seasons is suddenly killed, brutally shot on the way to court.
The episode was Season 6’s “Bullet in the Brain.” In an interview with TV Tango, executive producer Stephen Nathan said, “We actually scaled that one back a little bit.
