Mission: Impossible 7 Hid A Major New Cast Member Right Under Our Noses

In an episode of the Empire Spoiler Special podcast dedicated to “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning,” director Chris McQuarrie hinted at a big casting reveal for “Part Two.”
As a result of extremely fluid production exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, constant rewrites, and scheduling snafus, the “Reckoning” crew made many adjustments on the fly.
One of the reshoots got into the film, and it reveals a significant mystery casting for “Dead Reckoning: Part Two,” which hasn’t been revealed yet.
McQuarrie teased, “People still haven’t picked up on it. It’s right there in front of you. You’re so busy truffling for Easter eggs ... there’s one right on-screen.”
The filmmaker continued, “Maybe two people have picked up on it. And it's a f***ing casting announcement and it’s in the movie. In the movie, right on-screen!”
He added, “The people who did notice it, did not understand its significance. [...] It not only tells you this person is coming, but who this person is [...] in one image.
