Marvel’s Kevin Feige Says He And His Team Plan Three MCU Phases At Once
By DANIELLE RYAN
The multiverses of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are expansive and interconnected, with many characters and worlds to remember, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has it all mapped out in his mind well in advance. In a press conference, Feige revealed how the MCU’s phases are planned, giving context to the Multiverse Saga.
Feige revealed that he and his Marvel Studios team plan one saga at a time, saying, “We work in about three phases at a time. Yeah. Which, three phases together, as we all know, make a saga.” Phase 4 of the MCU ended with “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and that phase served as the first part of the Multiverse Saga, which follows the initial Infinity Saga.
While three phases making up a saga may not seem complicated, each phase can contain up to a dozen movies and TV shows, all interconnected and traversing major events. While storylines aren't finalized as some will change, the basic outline of the Multiverse Saga seems ready to go, setting up plot points and character moments that may not pay off for nearly a decade.
