Marvel Announces Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man Return For Avengers Project

Despite it being years since he perished in "Avengers: Endgame," Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Iron Man once again, though he won't be returning as the character in movies.
Disney announced at 2024's D23 Expo that Downey Jr. is back as Iron Man for two new "Avengers"-themed rides at the company's California Adventure Park in Anaheim.
The first is "Stark Flight Lab," which takes visitors on a tour of the Stark lab. The other is "Avengers Infinity Defense," where the Avengers battle Thanos across the MCU.
Experiences chairman Josh D'Amaro spoke about Disney's plan to double the size of Avengers Land in the coming years. One key to their plan is Downey's return to the iconic role.
