Mark Ruffalo’s Dream She-Hulk Casting Wasn’t Quite What We Got
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
In "Avengers: Endgame," the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) had conceived a way to stay a green-skinned muscle monster at all times. This meant the character's actor would only be seen in CGI.
When making "She-Hulk," the showrunners had to decide whether or not to cast someone tough or strong. Ultimately, they chose to create the character with motion-capture CGI.
Ruffalo had been thinking about who might play She-Hulk before actress Tatiana Maslany was cast. In a 2014 Reddit AMA, he was asked who he thought should play the part.
"Well, I think Zoe Saldaña would be a great She-Hulk," Ruffalo shared, "Or someone quiet and demure like Emma Stone would be nice."
