Loki Showrunners Lied To The Cast About The Temporal Loom

If you thought "Loki" season 2 was confusing, the cast of the Marvel series probably did too, thanks to some lies they were told about the Temporal Loom as they were filming.
While the Temporal Loom explodes towards Loki and the gang in a flash of blinding light at the end of episode 4, most of the cast in that scene hadn’t been told what was going on.
Executive producer Kevin Wright told Marvel.com that this is partly because they were also asked to replay the same scene in different ways throughout time-bending episode 6.
"The way that episode 4 [...] was shot, our cast [...] thought something very different was happening," he said. "We [...] lied to them [...] to sell a really insane performance."
The executive producer of "Loki" also noted that, "As performers, as actors, they just start to lose track of days, and where we are in the story and what's actually happening."
As it turns out, only Tom Hiddleston knew about the real end of episode 4, and about how the rest of the second season would unfold with repeating echoes of the same scene.
While filming out of sequence prevented the cast from grasping what was going on moment by moment, Wright believes that their befuddlement ultimately worked in the show's favor.
