Let's Try to Solve the Biggest Unsolved Mystery in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is an exceptionally executed film, but there is one detail that remains a mystery in the movie. Namor believed that the future Ironheart, Riri Williams, was ordered by the CIA to build the vibranium detector to mine the precious metal, but as the movie progresses, the actual inventor of the machine still remains a mystery.
Doctor Doom
The first suspect is Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, because he was a diligent student of science. Considered one of the top minds in the Marvel Universe, it's possible that he could have taken a side gig as a professor at MIT and made Riri's vibranium detector work by taking advantage of the CIA's resources.
Reed Richards
Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, could also be the scientist Namor is looking for because he has a history with MIT as he studied there. The CIA could have approached him about their search for vibranium and he only saw the good it could do for the world, rather than its potentially destructive consequences.
Bolivar Trask
A far-fetched candidate in this mystery is Bolivar Trask, who would have a lot of reasons to get his hands on vibranium. He is a military scientist, creator of the Sentinels, and as the head of Trask Industries, he would love to upgrade his mutant-hunting weapons.
Alistair Smythe
Alistair Smythe is another robotics expert who could have some nefarious plans in the works if he could obtain some vibranium. Alistair adopted the alias of the Ultimate Spider-Slayer and could use vibranium intending to enhance his army of robot minions to get revenge on Spiderman.
Lucia Von Bardas
While Doctor Doom seemed like a shoo-in as the scientist at first glance, the Latverian cyborg, Lucia Von Bardas, who also serves as the Prime Minister for Doom's kingdom, is the next best thing. The reason for this is that von Bardas is one of Riri's most significant enemies in the comics and with an “Ironheart” series in the works, she would make a great choice.
