Laura Donnelly Would Return For A Werewolf By Night Sequel
By ERNESTO VALENZUELA
At the center of Marvel’s “Werewolf by Night” is the capable hunter Elsa Bloodstone, played by Laura Donnelly, who is ostracized by the monster hunting community and her own family. In an interview with The Wrap, Donnelly highlighted the freedom that comes with not being tied down by either the deep lore of the comics or the greater MCU.
“I wasn't beholden to the character from the comics,” she said. “And we didn't have to connect everything up to the rest of the MCU. It felt like we were making a Halloween movie.” The MCU project contained a world teeming with genuine monsters and magic, in which her character has strong roots.
The actor would jump at a chance to return to Elsa and her world, saying, “It does feel like it's only this little taster of many, many layers that are there underneath and a huge backstory. I would also love to explore that relationship between Elsa and Jack as well. [...] I would be very, very happy to — just call me.”
