Kurt Russell Was Surprisingly Committed To The Christmas Chronicles' Santa

While method acting is a controversial topic, it's impressive to hear the lengths some actors go to for their roles, such as Kurt Russell during "The Christmas Chronicles."
Speaking with Business Insider, director Chris Columbus shared, "Kurt wrote probably 175 to 200 written pages about Santa's history. He just went and did that on his own."
During an interview with ComicBook.com, Columbus said, "If you talk with him, he's very serious about this. He approaches it as if he were a method actor playing Santa Claus."
According to Columbus, Russell had answers for anything and everything related to the character. While talking with GQ, Russell shared how much the role meant to him.
Russell said, "Santa Claus is one of my favorite characters ever. It was so big in our household, my father's presentation of it as a mystery."
The actor also praised Father Christmas as "a great sweet, wonderful saint of a man, who is a real person. It's not a comic book character."
