Kristofer Hivju Improvised One Of Tormund’s Funniest Game Of Thrones Scenes

One of the most famous moments from “Game of Thrones” Season 7 is the longing look Kristofer Hivju’s Tormund Giantsbane gives Gwendoline Christie’s Brienne of Tarth.
The scene from the episode “Beyond the Wall” delivers a moment of fun to the rather dire circumstances of the season. However, his expression was entirely improvised.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series co-creator and showrunner Dan Weiss explained that the moment was completely organic and “not something you could ever write.”
He added, “It’s just this moment where this guy is creeping out on her and he smiles in a way that makes her very uncomfortable and she just looks away.”
Weiss shared that he “saw it 150 times and every time it made me laugh; it’s purely the two of them.” Hopefully, Tourmund will return more funny moments in the Jon Snow series.
