Kevin Smith Is Apparently Making A Sequel To One Of His Strangest Films
By RYAN SCOTT
It appears that Kevin Smith is considering making a sequel to his 2014 walrus horror movie, “Tusk.” In a recent interview, Justin Long, who starred in the film, confirmed that Smith is officially toiling with the idea.
The actor revealed, “He texted us all the other day, Haley [Joel Osment] and Genesis [Rodriguez], and he told us that he wanted to do it, and I thought it was a joke. And then I realized he was being serious.” This comes as strange news as even Smith has made many jokes at his own expense about his “dopey walrus movie” since its release.
Now, the real question is why would Smith do such a thing? "Tusk" was a critically divisive film that only made a mere $1.8 million at the box office. However, Long’s comments, coupled with Smith’s “Tusk 2” story outline posted to Twitch in 2020 it appears we may be getting a wildly unexpected sequel.
