Jurassic Park’s Best Crew Members Failed To Save The Flintstones Movie
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
Brian Levant’s "The Flintstones" is cynical filmmaking at its best, constructed in boardrooms and executive suites as a commercial product to force-feed an unwitting public.
"The Flintstones" made $358 million worldwide and was the fifth highest-grossing film of the year, behind only "The Lion King," "Forrest Gump," "True Lies," and "The Santa Clause."
Prior to “The Flintstones,” cinematographer Dean Cundey and SFX supervisor Michael Lantieri had both worked on "Jurassic Park.” Everything was slick and polished nearly to death.
