Jonathan Frakes Still Has Hope For Star Trek: Legacy
By WITNEY SEIBOLD
In an interview with IndieWire, longtime "Star Trek" director and actor Jonathan Frakes claimed that "Legacy" could still come into being. At the very least, he still hopes it might.
Frakes has directed and played William Riker on "Star Trek: TNG," "Lower Decks," and "Picard." He knows how the franchise operates and has survived throughout its evolution.
When asked about "Legacy," Frakes replied, "I certainly have hopes and thoughts. Updates? I don't have one, but I do know that the franchise is in great shape.”
However, it’s not looking good as Paramount is troubled, "Star Trek" is contracting, and there's been no movement on the project. Frakes is hopeful, but he might be one of the few.
