Jimmy Fallon Was An Embarrassingly Bad Driver During Band Of Brothers
By JOSHUA MEYER
When Jimmy Fallon made a "Band of Brothers" cameo, he was expected to drive a Jeep. Appearing in episode 5, his character was based on real-life army lieutenant George C. Rice.
On "The Tonight Show," Fallon told of his “Brothers” experience. As he is not a seasoned dramatic actor, nor able to drive a stick shift, he had to fake both skills.
"I was so nervous. I had to just drive a jeep and say my line, 'Good luck, boys,’” Fallon recalled. It was a real WWII vehicle, and he was supposed to drive and look heroic.
It turns out Fallon was so lost trying to operate the jeep's manual transmission that it did indeed lead to two crew members finally pushing the vehicle from behind.
