Jenna Fischer Called This One Of Her Worst Acting Moments On The Office
By TRAVIS YATES
In the last few seconds of “The Office’s” Season 4 premiere, “Fun Run Part 1,” fans get their long-awaited confirmation that Jim and Pam are a couple. Jenna Fischer, however, admitted on "Office Ladies" – the weekly podcast she co-hosts with co-star Angela Kinsey – that she considers that moment “one of [her] worst acting moments on the show.”
On the podcast, the two hosts talked about how the setup for Jim and Pam’s big reveal was problematic from the start. After spending the whole episode trying to hide their relationship from their co-workers, Pam barely pulls out of the Dunder Mifflin parking lot before she pulls over, briefly puts her head down on the wheel, and then kisses Jim when he gets into the car.
Fischer revealed that a permit issue was why she could only drive a short distance in the street, but she also thought that her acting was the bigger issue. She said, “The idea was that I was sort of like, 'Oh, what a day.' I needed to pull over because, oh, what a day this has been. I need a moment to collect myself. I mean, it didn't work. I don't think it worked."
