Isaac’s Creepy Children Of The Corn Haircut Came Straight Out Of Star Trek

In the 1984 horror film “Children of the Corn” by Fritz Kiersch, the town of Gatlin, Nebraska, is taken over by a deadly group of children led by a boy named Isaac (John Franklin).
One of Franklin's first gigs was a TV commercial for the 1983 Sega video game "Star Trek" for which he wore a blue Starfleet uniform, pointed ears, and had a Vulcan hairdo.
The haircut was still fresh when Franklin arrived on the set of "Children of the Corn" the next day. He expected they would give him a wig or a new hairdo for his role as Isaac.
The filmmakers liked his Vulcan hair. In "Harvesting Horror: The Making of Children of the Corn," he recalls them saying, “'That kinda works. It's weird and creepy. Keep it!'"
