On March 24, 2023, Keanu Reeves returns as the brutally efficient assassin John Wick in "John Wick: Chapter 4," reuniting with director Chad Stahelski for what figures to be an epic adventure. The action flick’s almost three-hour runtime may lead some fans to wonder if they should be prepared to sit through the credits for a post-credit scene.
Post-credits scenes have become common in superhero movies, but the "John Wick" series has steered clear of them so far. It looks as if the franchise is about to break this tradition by including a post-credit scene in the fourth installment, which will play after the entirety of the credits roll, so viewers may have to sit patiently and wait to see what happens.
Some post-credit scenes lack significance and are just a way of having a little fun with the audience — think of the shawarma scene in "The Avengers" or the tag at the end of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
