Is The Mandalorian Season 3 Really The
End For
Moff Gideon?
By BRYAN YOUNG
Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for the Season 3 finale of "The Mandalorian."
Moff Gideon, the overarching villain for the first three seasons of “The Mandalorian,” met his fate in an explosion in the Season 3 finale — or so it seemed.
Previously in the season, Gideon used Mandalorian beskar to make himself a suit that can withstand fire, lightsabers, and even space. This may have protected him in the explosion.
In addition, viewers also saw some Gideon clones on Mandalore, and though all these clones were presumably destroyed in the explosion, there may be more.
Cloning containers were also spotted on Gideon’s ship and a secret base in Nevarro, so it’s quite possible there are still clones of Gideon in one of those locations.
Not only could the original Moff Gideon have escaped his exploding base, but one or more of his clones could also become villains in the next season of “The Mandalorian.”
Considering Darth Maul survived being cut in two within the “Star Wars” universe, it hardly seems a stretch to say we may see more of Moff Gideon in the future.
