Hugh Jackman Says Logan And Wade Won't Exactly Be Buddies In Deadpool 3
By CAMERON ROY HALL
With the as-yet untitled “Deadpool 3” set to arrive in 2024, the MCU will be introduced to 20th Century Fox's iteration of the anti-hero (Ryan Reynolds), as well as the iconic X-Men character, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). Despite both actors being friends, Jackman shared that their two characters don’t exactly have the same relationship they enjoy in real life.
Jackman said, “How do I categorize it? 10 being really close, zero being the reality, we're zero, we're opposites, hate each other. I'm just talking from my perspective, [Logan's] frustrated by him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head.” Deadpool and Wolverine share an odd friendship in the comics, which may be reflected in their upcoming film.
Jackman added, “Unfortunately, he can't be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I'm probably going to punch him in the head a lot,” hinting that the pair will most likely clash several times throughout the film. “Deadpool 3” raises many questions about the MCU, Fox’s X-Men, and the end of “Logan,” which will hopefully be answered when it hits theaters on November 8, 2024.
