How Tim Blake Nelson Really Felt About Getting Cut From Dune: Part Two
By MICHAEL BOYLE
Tim Blake Nelson, renowned for “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” and “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” was surprised when his role was excluded from the final cut of “Dune: Part Two.”
Fans can only speculate about who Nelson would have played among the extensive list of “Dune” characters, with many believing it was Imperial Agent Count Fenring.
In an interview with MovieWeb, Nelson indicated that he only shot one scene for the movie, expressing, “[Denis Villeneuve] had to cut it because he thought the movie was too long.”
“And I am heartbroken over that, but there's no hard feelings. I loved it, and I can't wait to do something else with him [...],” Nelson added.
“I'm a strong believer that when it's not in the movie, it's dead.,” Villeneuve said to fans who wanted a director's cut with Nelson included.
