How Strange New Worlds Recreates Original Star Trek’s Old-School Look

“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’” cinematographer Benji Bakshi revealed to /Film's Witney Seibold that the team watched "Star Trek: The Original Series" before production began.
Adding things so tiny even die-hard Trekkies might have missed them, the “Strange New Worlds’” team went above and beyond to recreate a unique detail
on the Enterprise.
Bakshi explained, “In the doorways of the bridge in the original series, [...] they shot light through a sort of metal grate and it created a shadow pattern around the doorways.”
He continued, “A lot of effort was spent recreating that exact shadow pattern on the wall through the grate. [...] There's things like that that they wanted to maintain in honor."
