How Star Trek’s Michael Dorn Saved Worf From DS9’s Writers

Michael Dorn, who plays Starfleet: Lieutenant Commander Worf from "Star Trek: The Next Generation," talked about his character in a 2023 interview with TrekMovie.
To Dorn, who has appeared in more Star Trek episodes than anyone, Worf's humorless adherence to Klingon principles was the key ingredient to writing the character.
However, a lot of the "DS9" writers hadn't written for Worf before. Dorn, who knew the character better than anybody, had to set the record straight on a few matters.
Worf was previously described as "The big guy who never smiles" on "Next Generation." That might have been an apt character description for the "Deep Space Nine" writers.
