How Rise Of The Beasts’ Primus Easter Egg Sets Up Transformers’ Future

Spoiler Warning!
This story contains spoilers for “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.”
An Easter egg from the climax of “Rise of the Beasts” suggests that an important “Transformers” character is about to make their live-action debut in a future movie installment.
The hidden surprise is a reference to Primus, a (quite literally) huge figure from the franchise who is alluded to during the movie's third act.
Director Steven Caple Jr. explained the Primus name-drop to Collider and shared what the broaching of the character means for the future of “Transformers.”
He said, “Scourge is about to kill Prime. [...] He lifts up his blade, and he's like, ‘Primus would be ashamed.’ [...] That's one of the first times we actually mentioned Primus.”
Caple Jr. continued, “The fact that now we have the ability to open up the door and tap into where the Autobots actually came from, and who are they?”
According to the Transformers Wiki, “Primus is the creator-god of the Transformers. An ancient and ethereal being whose origins date back to the beginnings of the universe itself.”
The Wiki adds, “Primus is a multiversal force for good [...] [and] in each [reality and universe] he is the final defense against his fallen sibling, Unicron the Chaos-Bringer.”
