How Leonardo DiCaprio Convinced Tom Hardy To Join The Cast Of The Revenant

In a 2015 interview with Variety, Tom Hardy revealed that his "Inception" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio almost single-handedly got him cast in Alejandro G. Iñárritu's "The Revenant."
Hardy was about to start a different project when DiCaprio called him and passionately pitched the film, saying, "I need you to take a look at this script. It's f***ing awesome."
"That's how it started — 'It's going to be f***ing awesome.' Then I had a meeting with Alejandro, talking through the character. I ended up getting the job," Hardy explained.
Hardy delivered a stellar performance, almost unrecognizable as the ruthless trapper John Fitzgerald in the gnarly wilderness epic, justifying DiCaprio's faith in him.
