How A Quiet Place Turned John Krasinski Into A Terrifying CGI Monster

The world of “A Quiet Place” is a post-apocalyptic one where alien monsters hunt the surviving humans using their hearing, leading to a world almost completely void of sound.
In the close-quarters scenes, the creatures’ mannerisms were difficult to achieve. The solution was to have director John Krasinski play a monster using a motion capture suit.
According to Vulture, Krasinski explained, “So I'm the one standing there in a way-too-tight suit, making little roaring sounds for the actors.”
He continued, “But it was all Scott and Industrial Light & Magic putting the creature in, and figuring out how he would move through the room to get to the final gunshot.”
