Homelander Isn’t The Most Evil Villain In The Boys Anymore

Season 4 of "The Boys" reveals that although Homelander may be the ultimate antagonist for the show's main characters, it’s humans who are the series' biggest villains.
A sociopath since boyhood, Homelander is also a victim of horrific parenting, and in season 4, we learn that his huge need for approval comes from childhood conditioning.
We've known bits and pieces about the mistreatment Homelander went through at the hands of Vought scientists since season 1, but it's only in season 4 that he takes his revenge.
Homelander destroys his remaining humanity as he does increasingly gruesome things to his former caretakers, and although we see him at his worst, it’s also extremely cathartic.
Yes, he thinks of himself as a higher being and sees humans as ants, but people doing equally horrific things to a kid for the sake of the military-industrial complex is pure evil.
