Many superhero movie franchises aim to create a larger world for their characters connecting their films, TV shows, and comics in a shared universe. This intertwined world is why Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller can be found in the latest DC Extended Universe film “Black Adam” and other DC titles like the “Suicide Squad” movies.
Before her appearance in “Black Adam,” Amanda Waller was last seen in James Gunn’s acclaimed HBO Max series “Peacemaker.” But Waller isn’t the only connection between the two franchises, as revealed in the third act of “Black Adam” when the titular character is taken into an underwater prison facility only to be met by A.R.G.U.S. agent Emilia Harcourt.
Agent Harcourt was last seen dealing with Project Butterfly alongside Peacemaker, Vigilante, Economos, and Adebayo on the HBO series earlier this year. Although her current assignment in the underwater facility doesn’t seem as action-heavy as her last one, she’ll likely be getting her hands dirty once again when the second season of “Peacemaker” is released.
