Harrison Ford Shares Why He Joined the MCU
By DANIELLE RYAN
Harrison Ford has been in some of the world’s largest film franchises such as “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones,” and will next be seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While fans are surely excited, some might be curious as to why Ford has chosen to join the world of caped superheroes this late in his career.
According to Marvel, Ford will be taking over the role of General “Thunderbolt” Ross from the late John Hurt in the upcoming “Captain America: New World Order.” During a visit to the “Yellowstoners” podcast, hosted by Mike DeAngelo and Rodrigo Perez, Ford shared why he wanted to join the MCU.
“Hey, look, I've done a lot of things. I now want to do some of the things I haven't done,” he explained. In the comics, General “Thunderbolt” Ross turns into the Red Hulk, but when DeAngelo asked Ford if he would don a motion capture suit for the first time, the actor smiled and replied with a “zipped-lips” gesture.
