Glass Onion's Cast Got Into Character With Their Own Murder Mystery Game
By LYVIE SCOTT
Murder mysteries can be polarizing; some people love them, others hate them, but given the extremely successful limited release of Netflix’s “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” it seems the genre is still popular. Even the “Glass Onion” cast couldn’t get enough intrigue, so they took to playing murder mystery games to entertain themselves and bond.
The go-to game for the cast was Mafia — a role-playing game in which players work to discover the identity of an anonymous murderer. According to Kate Hudson, the game helped the cast bond because “You see a different side to people when you play games […] we all had so much fun together and everyone played the games very differently."
Some cast members took the game seriously like Janelle Monáe, who would dress up in special outfits to get into her Mafia character. However, as Hudson described, “it was a little less serious than most Mafia games because it turned into a drinking-dancing party very quickly […] we clearly fell in love with each other, all of us.”
